CASA ALMARA is the result of the rehabilitation of an old manor house of more than one hundred years, following a sustainable model, respectful of the environment and preserving its original state. With a simple decoration, it has become a small eight-bedroom accommodation, honestly authentic. A philosophy of close and family accommodation, where any guest, traveller, tourist, pilgrim or nomad feels like another and lives a real experience in the heart of Andalusia.
Espejo, a typical Andalusian white village surrounded by olive groves, is located in a strategic enclave of the Caliphate Route (Córdoba-Granada), as well as a regular pilgrim's passage on the Mozarabic route of the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago. The old town, nestled on a hill, crowned by a 15th century ducal castle from where its streets are distributed adapting to the terrain, becomes an attraction in itself. In the middle of extensive olive groves, in the heart of the Cordovan countryside, where the production of the precious oil is a fundamental pillar of the local economy.
In addition, its surroundings offer a wide range of possibilities such as La Vía Verde del Aceite, with its route by bicycle or on foot through dreamy places as it passes through Luque, Zuheros, Doña Mencía and Cabra. The nearby Montilla, with its visits to renowned Montilla-Moriles wine cellars, and of course, the proximity of the city of Cordoba, only 28 km away.
